2 x 3 Antiqued Come and Take It Flag

Celebrate Texas History with a vintage style 2 x 3 antiqued Come and Take It flag from our Texas gifts and Texas flags collections. This first battle flag of the Republic of Texas era celebrating the standoff at Gonzales Texas is made of genuine cotton and displays a cannon, five-pointed lone star, and lettering saying “come and take it.”

The cannon, star and letters are actually pieces of cotton fabric (appliques) that are sewn onto the flag with an embroidered satin stitch around the edges.

We custom tea-stained these by hand and so each one will be differently shaded with that wonderful soft, old-looking antique flag feel. This flag normally measures 24 x 36 inches (2 by 3 foot) unstained, but you should expect shrinkage of at least one inch in each direction from the antiquing process. Two metal grommets are attached on the flag hoist side.
